Youth Programs at Western

Poulsbo

Western’s Youth Programs is proud to announce a new location for summer 2014.  In addition to programming in Bellingham and Anacortes, four of Western’s signature Youth Programs will now be available in Poulsbo, Washington, through a partnership with Olympic College, the Poulsbo Marine Science Center, and Poulsbo Parks & Recreation.

College Quest (Entering grades 10-12)

Cost: $450

Experience the excitement of university life and gain valuable college success information through Western’s engaging college prep program. High school students will take a week long college-like course modeled after Western’s signature College Quest program.  All instruction will take place at the WWU Center on Olympic College’s Poulsbo campus.

Grandparents “U” (Ages 7-14)

Thursday through Friday
July 10-11, 2014
9 a.m to 6 p.m.
Cost: $239

Create memories to last a lifetime as grandparents and grandchildren learn side-by-side in this unique intergenerational program.  All courses are taught by Western faculty with a focus on hands-on participation in a fun, interactive atmosphere.

Movement & CultureOdyssey of Science & Arts (Grades 4-9)

Dive into science exploration as you investigate marine science and ecology through interactive, hands-on activities.  Students will enjoy learning in specialized labs on a college campus, as well as in an outdoor classroom and at the Poulsbo Marine Science Center.

Movement & CultureWestern Kids Camp (Grades K-4)

Cost: $159

Discover the fun of being on a college campus as you spend your mornings exploring ecology, geocaching, wildlife, and the science of magic in university classrooms and labs.  Participants will also enjoy an afternoon filled with recreation activities provided through Poulsbo Parks & Recreation.
