First Aid

In accordance with Washington Administrative Code part 296-800-15005 which states, "In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace, which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid." Directors, chairs or department heads are to designate individuals to maintain current certification in first aid and CPR and to ensure that their certificates are maintained.

The Environmental Health and Safety office maintains a training record of all certified personnel and expiration dates. Please visit the WWU Training website to sign up for CPR/AED/First Aid classes or call x3064. In order to sign up, you must be a WWU Faculty or Staff employee. WWU students should consult with Prevention & Wellness at 650-2993 for information on CPR/First Aid classes.
