A Message from the Vice Provost for Equal Opportunity and Employment Diversity, Title IX & ADA Coordinator
Greetings. The Winter issue of the EO Office Newsletter discusses updates to Western’s sexual misconduct policy and provides information about related training for students and employees. For search committees in the process of identifying and interviewing finalists, we share important reminders about conducting fair and equitable searches. The Newsletter also highlights Western's celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Day and the creation of an Ad Hoc Gender Neutral Facilities Guidelines Advisory Committee, and provides information about trainings offered and resources provided, by the EO Office and via the Campus Equity and Inclusion Forum.
The Equal Opportunity Office expresses its appreciation to all the students, faculty and staff who participated in the Office for Civil Rights visit to Western at the beginning of November, and to the many people who worked to coordinate the visit. Everyone’s voice matters as Western continues its work to be as effective as possible in preventing and responding to sexual violence.
