Faculty Senate Diversity & Social Justice Grants

 

Dear Colleagues,

WWU's Faculty Senate and the Office of the Provost are soliciting proposals for faculty teaching and research grants that focus on building WWU’s capacity for embracing and engaging issues related to diversity, equity, and social justice. Funding for these grants was initially secured by the President’s Taskforce on Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity a few years ago. During spring quarter of 2015 the Taskforce approached the Faculty Senate and requested that we assume the responsibility for overseeing this endeavor. Over the past few months a group of faculty members from across our campus worked diligently to develop guidelines and criteria for these grants.
