Agenda Items:

Discussion:

            STF Proposals

Gary Bornzin  followed up on both Fairhaven proposals, which have been amended. Supplying Water to the Outback Using Renewable (Green) Energy proposal has been adjusted; it requires buying a pump, water system, and solar array and no longer requires connecting to the grid. Any site work that is needed will be done by students.  The Lighting and Sound for OELS Stage proposal no longer requests a platform for a sound/lighting board or sound equipment.

The committee reviewed and ranked the eighteen proposals on the basis of whether they should absolutely be funded, funded if possible, or not funded. The top ranked proposals were:

         Dance Program Video Production,

Parks Hall 108 Behavior Research Lab,

Dissolved Inorganic Carbon Analyzer for Studying Physiology, Aquatic Chemistry, and Climate Change,

         Spatial Analysis Classroom,

         B Gallery Boost and Upgrade,

Going Green, Renewable Energy in the Laboratory and

         Assembly Robot with Vision System.

The committee considered partial funding for the remaining proposals, many of which were made up of several separate components. These proposals include:

High Definition Microscopy for Introductory Biology Courses,

ETEC 222 Welding Lab Equipment Purchase,

Multichannel Pipettes for Integration of Multiwell Plate Reader into Microbiology Laboratory,

         Huxley College GPS Equipment, and

Huxley Toxicology Program Lab Class Instruments.

Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 4:57 PM.
