Biography

Stephen J. Ducat obtained his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Wright Institute, and his N.D. from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine. He practices in the San Francisco Bay Area, and is an advanced candidate at the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California. He has published widely on the psychology of politics, and more recently, has been a frequent contributor to the Huffington Post, an online journal of news and opinion. His latest book is The Wimp Factor: Gender Gaps, Holy Wars, and the Politics of Anxious Masculinity. From 1986 until the school's recent closure, Stephen had been a Professor of Interdisciplinary Humanities and Coordinator of the Psychology Concentration at New College of California.
