Biography

David Marshak helped to start and then led an alternative high school in the 1970s. He taught in a Waldorf school. He has visited and studied post-modern schools in the U.S., Canada, and India. He served on the advisory board for the Sudbury Valley school in Seattle and has consulted with leaders in the Enki Education, Montessori, and Self Design movements. He has written extensively about holistic education and is the author of The Common Vision: Parenting and Educating for Wholeness. Marshak taught at Seattle University for 14 years and is now a Bellingham resident and an adjunct lecturer in Woodring.
