Lee Che returned to the Northwest after a long stint in New York City, where she
was director of the Teen Health Initiative. In that role, Lee Che educated
health care professionals who work with youth about minors' rights to
receive confidential reproductive health care in New York State. She also
trained high school peer educators to inform other adolescents about their
rights through interactive workshops and created youth-friendly
publications.
As a consultant with the ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project, she collaborated
with affiliates in Mississippi, Ohio and Texas. Prior to that, Lee Che
served as a New York City Urban Fellow. She grew up in Anchorage, Alaska.
