WWU / Fairhaven College of Interdiscipinary Studies

"I have used Fairhaven, primarily, as the workshop. It's the place I go to experiment and develop ideas. - Derrick Fargo

Learning at Fairhaven

"Fairhaven classes are taught in a seminar style, so everybody is facing each other, including the professor. You connect with students more often. The faculty have been a web of support. Their offices surround the building, so you are always surrounded by somebody who can help. You get to know teachers you have never taken a class with simply because you share a common interest."

The Digital Outback

The Digital Outback is the brainchild of Fairhaven student Derrick Fargo. It is a multimedia collection of audio and video stories, presentations, interviews, and samples of student work at Fairhaven College. Producing the Digital Outback is Derrick's Senior Project. After Fairhaven

"I intend to go on to some sort of film school. Right now I'm eyeballing USC's School of Cinematic Arts. I'm interested in focusing on Film and Television Production with an emphasis on writing and directing."
