Religion, Rhetoric, and Politics in the American Public Sphere

with a WWU minor in Philosophy

I am lucky and blessed, too serious, funny sometimes, a bundle of contradictions, capable, usually mal-informed, and eager to learn why.

My passion is religion and politics, because I am fascinated by the human condition. Since they’re so inherently intertwined and contentious, religion and politics put the full range of human tendencies into focus.

I like gospel music, swimming in lakes, difficult conversations, being in the forest, and The Partially Examined Life podcasts.

An education here matters because it opens doors.

My dream job is college professor, movie soundtrack producer, or a test rider for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles.

My favorite place in Bellingham is in the sun because no matter where you are, it’s beautiful.
