40th Anniversary Edition of Inkspeak

Letter from the Editor

Dear Fairhaven Alumni & Friends:

As you may know, Fairhaven celebrates its 40th class reunion this May 14-16, 2010.

In honor of the milestone, a team is currently compiling a reunion edition of Fairhaven's literary review (previously known as Tuna Gas and currently called InkSpeak). We sent out a submission request in February with the hope of a published review by the time of the reunion. Due to limited responses and the need for more time, we are extending the process. Therefore, submissions for the review are now accepted through May 24, 2010.

I invite and encourage Fairhaven alumni who are continuing writers to submit short works, such as lyric essays, flash fiction, poetry, and excerpts from longer pieces.

At the reunion this May, signed memorial broadsides (letterpressed by Bison Bookbinding & Letterpress) will be available for purchase. These beautiful broadsides will feature the writing of Fairhaven alumna, Jennifer Hahn, from her book Spirited Waters, winner of the Barbara Savage MILES FROM NOWHERE Memorial Award. At the reunion, you may purchase the broadside and/or pre-order your copy of the literary review.

The Reunion Review will be mailed to you in early autumn. Thank you for your interest and support: we cannot do this without your help. Our team looks forward to reviewing your submissions. And may I extend personal thanks to the alumni who have already submitted works. Please feel free to contact me with any questions at inkspeakreunionmag@gmail.com.

Most sincerely,

Anneliese Kamola

Editor of the Fairhaven Reunion Review
