- Plan of Study must be submitted by
the end of the first quarter of enrollment or a hold will
be placed upon future registration.
- If you did not register last quarter,
you will need to submit the Graduate School RSA to update
and reactivate your student record. There is no fee associated
with filing this application.
- The RSA
is available online as an E-Sign form. Just fill in
and submit electronically.

Thesis topic approval card must be approved before thesis registration will be authorized by the Graduate School.

Once topic approval is granted, a student should obtain departmental registration override before contacting
the graduate school to request the Graduate School thesis registration override.

When both overrides are entered, student may register online for thesis credit.
Please note: Overrides must be entered each term to permit thesis registration.
- Graduate degree programs at Western must be completed
within five years of the quarter in which you were admitted
to graduate studies. This includes all degree requirements,
such as coursework, foreign language examination, thesis
defense, and comprehensive examination (see programs for
specific degree requirements).Please note that all student
computer accounts, which allow access to computer labs,
email, library privileges, and other student technology
services, will be purged at the end of this five year
period. When these accounts are purged, all files are
deleted. If you are using the University's computer system
for research, this information will be lost unless you
notify the Graduate School of your intent to complete
your degree. A graduate student must be enrolled for at
least two state-supported credits at WWU during the quarter
in which the degree is awarded or during the preceding
(calendar) quarter. Students who have completed all program
coursework and need to be registered in order to graduate
are advised to register for Continuous
Enrollment.
