Visit
your department office
Meet the graduate coordinator, your adviser, and other
faculty members. Complete employment documents if you
are a TA. Ask about student organizations and other ways
to be involved in your discipline. Most departments also
offer orientation activities to help you acclimate to
the department and campus.
If you
did not previously submit final transcripts
Submit requested final transcript(s) to the Graduate School.
You will not be able to register until the Graduate School
receives all required transcripts.
Health
Center and Supplemental Insurance Information
Measles clearance must be obtained before you will be
allowed to register. The
Health Center is located on the corner of 21st St.
and Bill McDonald Parkway.
Register
Online
Register online through the Registrar's
Office website by clicking on “Web4U”
You will need your student ID number (begins with a ‘W’,
first 8 numbers) and your pin. Your pin is the first 6
digits of your US social security number. If you do not
have a US social security number, your pin is your birth
date, MMDDYY. For security, please change this pin number
after your first login.
Verify your Mailing/Email
Address
You can also view and update address information through
the Web For Students. If you update your address info
online, it is not necessary to contact individual university
offices to make the change.
WWU
Photo ID card
Your WWU photo ID will be issued at the Western Card Office
located on the first floor of Edens Hall South. You must
bring identification. Prerequisite: You must be registered.
Activate
Computer and My Western Email accounts
All Western students receive an official My Western email
account. Instructions are available at the Help Desk in
Haggard Hall 145, or
online. The Graduate School and many departments use
the “My Western” email account for official communication
with students. Prerequisite: You must accept admission
by returning the signed admission letter.
Pay
your tuition/fees
Check online for tuition and fees deadlines. You
will not receive a statement in the mail. You
should check your account online and ensure that you pay
on time to avoid late fees and registration holds. Students
with tuition waivers must also pay a portion of the fees
by the deadline.

There are many organizations (religious, social, political)
which may be of interest to graduate students. Please
contact the Associated Students office for more information

International
Students
After you have registered, you must obtain I-20 validation
from the Designated School Official at Western. Contact
the International Programs & Exchanges Office for
a brief appointment (360) 650-6517.
