An A.A. degree will not fulfill
the preparatory classes for Huxley admission. Although
an approved Associates degree will meet the University's GUR requirements,
the Huxley prerequisites are separate and must be substantially
completed before application to the program. Preparatory classes
may be completed at WWU or at another college or university.
Check the B.A. transfer equivalents
page or B.S. transfer equivalents page for appropriate courses at Washington community colleges.
The Transfer Equivalents pages (B.A. transfer equivalents or B.S. transfer equivalents) provides equivalents from Washington community colleges. For other colleges or universities, contact the Huxley Undergraduate advisor.
Huxley prefers that students complete their AA direct transfer degree in order to have all of their General University Requirements complete. The Associate of Science degree does not fulfill WWU's General University Requirements. It is recommended that a student also complete as many of the preparatory classes as possible at a community college. It is especially important that students complete their math preparatory classes before transferring to Western

You will have the option of adding your name to the waitlist if the class is full and restrictions have been lifted. See the individual department waitlist policies: ESCI and ESTU.
If you are a Huxley major
and a Huxley course is filled, first contact the Huxley Registrar
or Undergraduate Advisor for instructions or override. You
may also contact the Instructor directly.
To register for a course
requiring permission, you must meet directly with the course instructor
for an override.
Some prerequisites to Huxley, such as SOC 215 (closed the first 5 days of Phase I) are courses restricted to majors of another program in Phase I of registration. You should attempt to register for these courses in Phase II or attend the first day of class.
