This endowed scholarship is awarded annually to one undergraduate major or graduate student of Huxley College or the Honors Program. Aaron Gastellum, who passed away suddenly in August 1997, was a highly promising student in the Honors Program and Huxley College. In his memory, the Honors Program conjointly with Huxley College established an award for a student currently enrolled in either of these programs. Candidates should demonstrate a deep commitment to the solution of environmental problems, a strong sense of service to others and personal virtues of sincerity, integrity and humor. Criteria: 1 to 2 page statement on solving environmental problems, letters of recommendation, an academic paper or project, and a resume. Financial need is not a condition.
