Rosalie Germond is a student in the Disaster Reduction and Emergency Planning program through Huxley College of the Environment at Western Washington University. As an undergraduate research assistant, Rosalie will apply her skills and interests in disaster risk reduction, GIS and emergency management to work on a variety of ongoing projects at the Resilience Institute.
Upon graduation, Rosalie is interested in pursuing a career specifically pertaining to reducing disaster risk for businesses, by researching and drafting continuity plans for various businesses in the community. Additionally, she would like to continue her education through graduate school in a program focusing on crisis and emergency management.
Beyond school, Rosalie spends her time enjoying the beautiful Pacific Northwest; canoeing, camping, hiking and biking.
