The experiential value of this project far exceeded my expectations. Although I was not able to accomplish all of the tasks that I initially desired, the momentum has been started for the continuation of this project that will only improve community access to the spatial element in their fight for environmental justice. The capabilities and attributes of the online interactive map should, at some point, be enhanced. In particular, regulated water sources should be added to the map via a link to the Navajo Tribal Utilities Authority (NTUA) so that water quality testing data is current and automatically updated. Community participation and a cooperative effort from the Navajo Nation government in data sharing is vital for further mapping efforts.
