Scheduling of classes into AH-16 is based on a number of factors, including the number of hours a class meets for (4 & 5 hour classes being harder to schedule are scheduled first, than 3 and 2 hour classes); class enrollment size (larger classes prioritized over smaller classes); history (a preference for keeping courses at the same time as previous years); and department (Huxley courses have first priority). All of this has to be interfaced with the other schedules of multiple departments and a host of other scheduling constraints... and the desire to keep at least one morning hour and one afternoon hour OPEN each day for student's to be able to work on assignments.
Alternatives to AH-16 include ATUS labs (AH-05, etc.) and ES-318. Note that scheduling ES-318 requires coordination with the other ENVS and ESCI courses using that room.
Four Credit (or hours) courses (listed in alpha-numerical order) Given first priority scheduling (further prioritized by class size)
Three credit courses (listed in alpha-numerical order) Given second priority scheduling (further prioritized by class size)
Two credit courses (listed in alpha-numerical order) Given third priority scheduling (further prioritized by class size) ENVS-221 2 cr GIS Survey (formerly EGEO-250)
