Industrial Design Program Requirements 2011–2012
The ID curriculum is a combination of design, art, and engineering courses. It is different from other ID schools in that it is a bachelor of science degree and is part of the Engineering Technology Department. This list is a suggested sequence, but some courses are not required to be taken in this order. Any course with a * must be completed before the sophomore portfolio review. Students should declare their major early and seek departmental advisement.
An entrance portfolio is required to declare a major in Industrial Design AFTER being accepted into the university. However, one may take most freshman and sophmore courses without being an ID major.
