Korea: Seoul Women's University
Seoul Women's University is located in the heart of Seoul and in the vicinity of other nationally known universities such as Korea University, Kyung Hee University and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Seoul is the capital of Korea with a population of about 11 million people.
Academic Program Description
Seoul Women's University offers course in the colleges of Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Art. The university offers a summer session called Bahrom International Program. This summer program offers exchange students a unique opportunity to better understand Korean history, culture, politics, economy and language during an intensive one-month program in English. Field trips and special events will complement the Korean Studies.

Housing
For the semester or academic year exchange, students live on campus in double occupancy rooms in the dormitory. The summer session students live in homestays at no additional cost.
Eligibility Requirements
- Minimum 2.5 GPA with completion of at least 30 credits at WWU by beginning of exchange
- Completion of at least one year of college or university study
- Application approval by the IPE committee
Application Procedure
- Complete Seoul Women's University application form and submit along with a brief one page essay on student's plan of study, official academic transcripts, three passport size photos, and one letter of academic reference
- Complete International Programs & Exchanges Study Abroad/Exchange Application and submit with statement of purpose
- Pay IPE application deposit
- Application will be approved by the committee and then forwarded to the university
- Once accepted, Seoul Women's University will send a letter of acceptance. Student must use the letter of acceptance and notarized letter of guarantee to obtain the visa from the Korean Consulate. The Summer Session is less than 90 days and a tourist visa is sufficient.

- Fall quarter/Academic Year: March 1st*
- Winter/Spring quarters: June 1st*
- Late applications considered on a case by case basis.
- * If the deadline occurs on a weekend, applications will be accepted on the following Monday.
