The academic year is divided into winter and summer terms, with each term lasting six months. Students are expected to use the time after lectures end and before the examination period starts for independent studies.

This exchange was developed in 2010 between the University of Duisburg-Essen’s Mercator School of Management, and WWU’s College of Business & Economics and Modern & Classical Language’s German Department. Students may access courses from other faculties at the University of Duisburg-Essen.

Winter Term: Early Oct. – Late March (Lecture dates: Mid October – Early Feb.)
Summer Term: Early April – End of Sept. (Lecture dates: Mid April – Mid July)

Application deadline for both terms: March 1st. Late applications accepted on a case-by-case basis.
