Academics
- The undergraduate academic calendar starts in early April as is customary in Japan. However, AIU welcomes internatinoal students in either spring (April) or fall (September) semester. Non degree-seeking international students may study at AIU for either one or two semesters.
- Fall semester: Early September to Mid December
- Spring semester: Mid March to Late July
- The Contemporary Japan Program in Nagoya (CJPN) offers a broad range of courses taught in English that examine contemporary Japan in the context of Asian Studies.
- The Japanese Language and Japanese Studies Program (JLJSP) offers an intensive language study course designed to aid students in acquisition and mastery of the language, supplemented with Area Studies courses and opportunities to experience Japanese culture.
