AustraLearn offers Australia and New Zealand Study Abroad Programs with scholarships for semester or academic year students.
- Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship
Awards of up to $7500 per year to undergraduate science and mathematics students for their last year or two of undergraduate study and planning a career in science or mathematics. Awards in two categories: two-year scholarships to those who will be juniors and one-year scholarships to those who will be seniors. Must have at least a B average and be a US citizen, resident alien, or US national.
- Bridging Scholarships for Study in Japan
The Association of Teachers of Japanese Bridging Project offers scholarships to assist students with the travel and living expenses while studying abroad in Japan. Japanese language study is not a prerequisite. Scholarships are $2,500 (for students on semester-long programs) or $4,000 (for students on academic year programs).
- Britain's Marshall Graduate Scholarships
Scholarships are available for students who plan to study for a degree graduate or occasionally undergraduate level at an UK institution in any field of study.
- Canada America Society Study-Abroad Scholarships (doc)
The CAS, in collaboration with the Canadian Consulate General Seattle and Pacific Northwest Canadian Studies Consortium, offer awards of $3000 to WWU and other students attending a Canadian university for a minimum of one term/semester/quarter.

Cultural Experiences Abroad offers a variety of scholarships for their programs abroad.
- CEA Arcadia
CEA Arcadia has made available up to $10,000 in scholarship funds to students participating on any of our summer programs. Individual awards will range from $500-$750 and applications will be considered on the basis of financial need and academic merit. Scholarships are intended to help those students for whom a moderate amount of financial aid may mean the difference between participation and staying home. Students can download a scholarship application at www.arcadia.edu/cea/scholarships. Applications must be received by March 31.

- Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership (CAPAL) Scholarship
Awarded annually since 1992, CAPAL's scholarships have enabled promising students with leadership potential to pursue public service internships in Washington, DC, while learning how to influence policy decisions that affects their communities. CAPAL Scholars are awarded $2,000 each for the successful completion of a summer internship of their choice, as well as the development of a Community Action Plan.
- Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX)
Awards for students and recent graduates who are interested in experiencing German culture and everyday life through internship and study. CBYX is primarily designed for business, engineering, technical, vocational, and agricultural fields, though applicants from all fields may apply. Applicants from community and technical colleges are especially encouraged to apply. Participants spend a year (July- July) studying and working in their career fields while completely immersed in German language and culture.

- Freeman ASIA
Freeman ASIA awards encourage study abroad in East and Southeast Asia. Awards in the amount of $3000 (semester), $5000 (semester/qtr) and $7000 (academic year).
- Fulbright Grants
A wide range of one-year grants to support study, research, and/or teaching abroad. Over 100 countries participate. May include study at a foreign university, research, classes at a conservatory or art school, special project in the social sciences or sciences, or combinations thereof. - Gates Cambridge Scholarship
Scholarships to study or conduct research at Cambridge University with long-term goal of producing future leaders to address global problems related to heath, equality, technology, and learning. Applicants must be admitted to a Cambridge College.
- German Chancellor Scholarship Program
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation awards twenty German Chancellor scholarships each year to young professionals with outstanding credentials and leadership qualities who want to do research in Germany for one year. The scholarships are awarded to ten U.S. citizens in the private, public, not-for profit, cultural and academic sectors. Prior knowledge of German is not required.
- Benjamin Gilman Scholarship
Gilman Scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded this academic year for U.S. citizen undergraduates to study abroad. Award amounts will vary depending on the length of study and student need with the average award being $4,000. Undergraduate students who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding at 2-year or 4-year colleges or universities are eligible to apply.
Students who apply for and receive the Gilman Scholarship to study abroad are now eligible to receive an additional $3,000 Critical Need Language Supplement from the Gilman Program for a total possible award of up to $8,000.
Critical Need Languages include:

- Harry S. Truman Scholarship
Scholarships for full-time junior level college students who are planning a career in public service. Provides up to $3,000 for senior year and $27,000 for graduate studies in the US or abroad.
- Morris K. Udall Scholarship
Awards of up to $5,000 for tuition, fees, room and board. Applicants must be either 1) outstanding college sophomores or juniors intending a career in pubic policy, or 2) current sophomores or juniors who are Native American or Alaska Native with outstanding potential and intending a career in health care or tribal policy. Must have at least a "B" average and be US citizen, resident alien or US national.

The Institute of International Education (IIE) and Educational Directories Unlimited, Inc. (EDU) are pleased to announce their latest collaborative project, a directory of funding opportunities. This directory will be accessible from the IIEPassport.org website and will provide a comprehensive directory of scholarships, fellowships, and grants for US students who wish to pursue short-term programs abroad at an undergraduate or graduate level. The website will allow prospective students to search by the country in which they wish to study and each search results listing will contain valuable information about the opportunity.

Students are recruited from across the nation and apply as sophomores to participate in a multi-year sequence of summer policy institutes, study abroad, intensive language training, internships, and graduate study, complemented by career development services along the way. UNCFSP is aided in the student recruitment effort by its institutional partners and distinguished selection panels comprised of practitioners, academics, graduate school admissions directors, foundation executives, and IIPP alumni.

- Irma Bigay Scholarship 2008-2009
Scholarship is available for female Puerto Rican Western Washington University undergraduate students planning to attend full time for the 2008-2009 academic year and participate in a study abroad program.

- Japanese Government Scholarships
The Japanese Government offers scholarships to U.S. citizens living in Washington through the Consulate-General of Japan in Seattle. Scholarship benefits include: monthly stipend, airfare, arrival allowance, tuition, and accommodations
- Killam Fellowship Program
The Killam Fellowships Program is for undergraduates students attending a four-year degree granting university that plans to study abroad in Canada and the United States. Student must have good academic standing, U.S. citizenship, superior academic record, and proficiency in English.
- Morgan Stanley Japan Scholarship
Morgan Stanley Japan is awarding two $7,500 scholarships to US students who will be studying in Japan for the academic year beginning September 2005. Eligible students include juniors and seniors at US universities with an interest in economics and international finance who have been accepted for study in Japan

- NSEP David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholarship
The National Security Education Program (NSEP) provides a unique funding opportunity for U.S. students to study world regions critical to U.S. interests (including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America & the Caribbean, and the Middle East). The countries of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are excluded.
NSEP Boren Scholarships provide funding for summer, semester or yearlong study. The maximum award is $8,000 for a summer; $10,000 for a semester and $20,000 for a full academic year. NSEP emphasizes the importance of language study as a major component of the study abroad program.
NSEP was designed to provide Americans with the resources and encouragement they need to acquire skills and experiences in areas of the world critical to the future security of our nation in exchange for a commitment to seek work in the federal government.

Made available through a partnership with DiversityAbroad.com, the Semester at Sea/Diversity Abroad Scholarships are awarded for summer and fall voyages. Scholarships are valued at 50% off the cost of the least expensive cabin category available at the time of confirmation. Up to five scholarships will be awarded for the fall voyage. Up to ten scholarships will be awarded for the summer voyage.
