Requirements

The department of journalism offers three sequences leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree: a journalism sequence (news-editorial), a journalism-public relations sequence and a Visual Journalism sequence. A minor in journalism also is available.

Note: These plans of study are designed for the 2012-13 academic year. If you declared the major prior to fall 2012, you have the option of completing the plan in effect at the time you officially declared or you may switch to the new plan. Please refer to course descriptions and the old course schedule for complete information about our classes, and contact the department with any questions you might have.

The department of journalism reserves the right to prioritize students on any class wait list based on graduation date, major, minor or concentration coursework or prerequisites.
