Don Seabrook, photo editor of The Weanatchee World, was named the NPPA's Region 11 Photographer of the Year. Don graduated from the University of Washington in 1983 with a communications degree.
He began working for The Wenatchee World that fall and is now the photo editor at the 23,000 circulation, afternoon publication. He has been married to his wife, Vicki, for 28 years, has three children, and enjoys the outdoors including backpacking, boating, and golf.
He has covered the Chinese apple industry (winning the 2005 APME International Perspective Award) a southern Mexican funeral, and a Costa Rican youth trip but his focus is on the lives of the people in the Wenatchee valley.
