LEAD Staff

Hi! I am LEAD's second year Director. Currently, I am working on my M.Ed. Environmental Education. My career as a Science Educator enables me to teach science field classes, group initiatives, climbing, canoeing, and other adventure activities. In my free time I enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, caving, and kayaking. The Southern Appalachian Mountains are my home. Stewardship is fun, see you at one of our work parties!

Welcome, I am LEAD's first year co-director. I too am working on my M.Ed. Environmental Education. My background in product design and human factors in design brought me to environmental education when I realized there was little discussion about "environmental lifecycle" in most "product lifecycles." I am also an Upcycled Artist creating artwork and products mostly from single use post-consumer waste. I love nature and have been a treehugger since I can remember. Whatever your background. Whether an undergrad or grad student, faculty or staff, neighbor or interested passerby - Come join us and help maintain and preserve our natrual treasures! I look forward to meeting all of our volunteers :-)

Hi, My name is Ashley and I am a senior at Western Washington University, majoring in environmental Policy. I grew up in Southern California, but have come to love the Pacific North West and now call Bellingham Home.
The outdoors has always been my favorite playground and I am passionate about caring for the beautiful world we live in. We have been given this amazing gift and together we have the power to maintain it for future generation to enjoy. In my spare time, I love sipping on a cup of tea or coffee, chatting with good friends, or exploring and adventuring the wilderness.

Hi my name is Luke. I'm a transfer student from Wenatchee Valley College. I'm in the business and sustainability program. I used to roast coffee and brew beer. I'm a football fanatic and played semi pro for several years. I'm hoping to be able to help bring more awareness for LEAD and give back to Western Washington University and the City of Bellingham.
