I am currently a student at Stony Brook University pursuing a Bachelor's in Marine Vertebrate Biology and a Minor in Dance Studies. Open completion, I will be the first female in my family to graduate college. I want to attend graduate school to obtain a Master's in marine mammal studies (with a focus on ecology) and marine policy and conservation. I plan to use my education to open a marine mammal rehabilitation center.

I have been fascinated by marine mammals since childhood and my goal is to teach people about them and promote proper conservation methods. My particular interest is with Odontocetes (toothed whales). I wish to understand more about their ecology and behavior as these are the whales most prone to captivity. I feel with better understanding, better methods of conservation can be created as well as improving their living conditions in captivity.
