Large Ensembles

University Symphony Orchestra

This full symphony orchestra is an auditioned ensemble performing the greatest symphonic repertoire of the past and present, as well as an annual conerto concert featuring student soloists. Western's Symphony was recently honored with a performance at the All Northwest MENC Convention.

Concert Choir

This highly select ensemble of sixty advanced singers performs challenging choral works from the Renaissance to the present. Recently honored with performances at state and division ACDA and MENC conferences, the choir performs throughout the region and tours Europe every third summer.

 

University Choir

Open to students of all academic majors, this two-hundred voice non-auditioned choir performs a wide range of repertoire from a variety of historical periods and cultural styles.

 

Men's and Women's Choirs

Two auditioned choirs, the University Women's Chorale and the Western Men's Ensemble, provide students with opportunities to perform choral music composed specifically for men's and women's voices.
