Winds & Percussion
The Wind and Percussion Program provides a comprensive experience for the serious player, regardless of major. Students in this area perform in the Wind Symphony or Symphonic Band, the Symphony Orchestra, and an array of smaller ensembles. These include: chamber music for brass, woodwinds or percussion; various brass choirs and woodwind choirs; and mixed ensembles that specialize in contemporary music, baroque performance and instrumental jazz. The faculty is comprised of exceptional performers and teachers with varied professional backgrounds and includes the resident Washington Brass Ensemble.
