Ben Musa, Double Bass, received his Bachelors in music performance from the University of Oregon and Masters from Northwestern University.  In addition to his teaching duties at Western, he is a member of the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, is a co-founder of the Sound Bass Institute, an organization devoted to developing participation of the bass in the Puget Sound community, and is an active free-lance artist in the Pacific Northwest.  He has also been a member of the Colorado Springs Symphony, the Eugene  Symphony and was principal bass of the Eugene Opera orchestra.
