Fall Ensemble Auditions 2012-2013

Ensemble Placement Audition Sign-up sheets will be posted on lower level 2 of the Performing Arts Center no later than September 19, 2012.
We invite ALL students to audition for placement in one of our major ensembles – these include the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Orchestra, University Choir, Concert Choir, Advance Women’s Chorale, and our Jazz Bands. When you join an ensemble (with the exception of Viking Pep Band) you are registering for a course, therefore you do receive two credits each quarter (the course is repeatable). In some cases, we can also offer private lessons to students even if they are not majoring or minoring in music.
If you currently do not own your own instrument, we offer instrument rentals for $40-$45 per quarter; and you will also be assigned a music locker to store your instrument and your music so you don’t have to lug it around all day! The Performing Arts Center has practice rooms available for students, and these are open for use seven days a week on a first come first serve basis.
Our fall ensemble auditions are scheduled for September 23rd-25th, that is Sunday through Thursday (depending on ensemble/instrument). Classes comnafmee on Wednesday, September 26, 2012.
