In response to emerging demand for cybersecurity professionals, Washington State community colleges and Western's College of Sciences and Technology are working together in one of the nation's few community college-to-university cybersecurity collaborations. As a result, students may enroll at a partner community college to begin a pathway to a BS degree in Computer and Information Systems Security from Western.
Students complete the first two years of the program at a partner community college and complete the final two years of the program at Western. This program is designed to provide students and IT professionals the opportunity to continue their education to the bachelor's degree level in the emergent field of computer information security.
Western’s Computer Science Department is part of the College of Science and Engineering.
