Local Action Week 2024: Campus to Community Panel

Campus to Community: A Conversation with Local Leaders

Join the Office of Civic Engagement for the finale of Local Action Week, a panel and mixer with officials from the city of Bellingham and Whatcom County! Panelists include Mayor Kim Lund, County Executive Satpal Sidhu, and members of the Bellingham City Council and Whatcom County Council. Learn more about what it's like to serve in local government, engage with issues unique to our region, and meet your elected representatives. Come for the yummy snacks, stay for the community building.

Creative Writing Workshops

Are you interested in creative writing? Do you have ideas for creative writing projects you want to start or notes for something you are already working on? Drop by one of the Hacherl Research & Writing Studio’s Creative Writing Workshops, held twice a week throughout spring quarter beginning Monday, April 8 through Finals Week at the end of the quarter.

 

On Mondays the workshops will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the Kitto Graduate Student Hub, and on Thursdays they are scheduled from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in Haggard Hall 210.
