The Western chapter of Society of Professional Journalists is hosting
an ethics panel at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 4 in CF Room 110.
Representatives from all four Journalism Department clubs will be
present to discuss issues affecting today's media and the ethical
decisions behind those issues. Panelists will include Julie Shirley,
the executive editor of the Bellingham Herald representing SPJ, Cole
Porter of Getty Images representing NPPA, Tanya Rowe from the
Bellingham Public School district representing PRO, and a panelist TBD
for the Mosaic club.
Please come with questions and be ready for a lively discussion. The
panel is open to everyone. There will be free pizza and refreshments.

Conflict war photographer and all around inspirational guy Thomas
James Hurst will be speaking this Thursday. Thomas currently is a
staff photographer for the The Seattle Times.
This will be the one to come to.
