Fundraiser / Cookie Dough, Cheesecake, Chocolate (yum!)
- Order forms for our annual fundraiser were sent home with students last Monday (Oct. 12). If yours went missing or if you need more forms they will be available at the next rehearsal.
- Completed orders are due November 9th so go out and get lots of orders!!!
- The products will be delivered on Monday November 23rd (just in time for Thanksgiving). It is really important that your products are collected on that night so that your order does not have to be stored (our freezer is full!). If your child is not able to attend on that evening we ask that a parent still come and pick up their child's order.
- Checks can be made out to NSYS.
Parking during Reheasals
- We have had some issues and questions regarding parking on rehearsal nights and have been in touch with the parking office to make them aware of the difficulties some parents and staff have been having with procuring a permit to park for the evening. We wish that parking were easier and infraction tickets weren't so expensive, but we have to go with the system that is in place. Having NSYS at WWU is worth the small price of making sure we adhere to the parking rules. That said...We strongly recommend the following...
- Make sure you purchase a permit. Parking is available by the PAC in lots 14G and 11G by purchasing a permit at the pay station in the parking lot. Parking is $1 per hour in these lots. If pay station is not working in 11G we suggest you park in 14G. Do not be tempted to risk not purchasing a permit.
- Also....Parking Warning - Do not park in 25G or in reserved parking spaces at any time. Infractions tickets are now $25 (and more) and parking officers are always on the lookout for vehicles without permits.
- If you do receive a citation, NSYS is unable to appeal on your behalf.
Parent Meeting (past) / Volunteer Opportunities
- The fall parent meeting was on October 5th.
- Several parents attended to hear more about NSYS programs, vision and volunteer opportunities.
- Since a number of parents were not able to attend, we have sent an email with the volunteer list that shows the long-term and short-term projects that are part of the ongoing management of NSYS. Let us know if you did not get this email.
- Please take a look at this list and think about your availability and talents. NSYS needs more volunteer assistance and any time and help you can offer to the organization would be appreciated.
- Check with your place of employment and find out whether they offer volunteer grants to honor the work you generously give to a non-profit organization.
