PSA Student Conference & Sandison Lecture
The PSA Student Conference was a day of student presentations, discussion panels, social events and the Sandison Memorial Lecture.
2012 PSA Student Conference
Beginning in the morning and continuing throughout the day, Political Science students presented and discussed research papers that they had completed over the course of the year in their Political Science classes.
Student Panels included the following:
- Democracy and Power
- Non-Governmental Organizations in Africa
- Courts, Campaigns and Citizens
- Gender, Politics and Power
- Development and Democratization

Luncheon
The morning panels were followed by a luncheon in the VU organized and provided by the Political Science Association student club.
Sandison Lecture
The Sandison Memorial Lecture was given by Dr. Dara Strolovitch, an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Strolovitch attended many of the activities throughout the day and was able to interact with students and faculty.
