President's Planning and Resources Council (PPRC)

The President’s Planning and Resources Council is an advisory committee that provides considered advice and recommendations to the President on a variety of issues related to the planning and allocation of resources, serving as a significant source of information, ideas, and judgment. The input received about this approach to governance indicates that this body can serve as a significant aid to effective planning and resource allocation.

The PPRC has the responsibility to identify and broadly communicate to the campus macro-level university issues and priorities, discussing broad issues relative to how the university will proceed as guided by our Mission and Strategic Action Guidelines. The 18 PPRC members have been chosen based on their positions and leadership roles, which reflect their expertise, experience and knowledge about campus needs and processes. The agenda for this year will be significant as we evaluate the Strategic Plan and set priorities, evaluate our accreditation self-study, and participate in assessing our next biennial budget request. The council has been constituted to focus on the university's strategic priorities. PPRC will help guide the university in setting priorities under the strategic plan, which in turn will guide the university’s budget development process.  PPRC will also be asked to consider and evaluate plans brought forward by various governance and administrative groups responsible for their development, to review their relationship with our Mission and Strategic Planning priorities.
