President Morse Presents to the Port of Bellingham --Creating an Intermediary Authority

On April 15, 2008 President Karen Morse was invited to present Western's waterfront development plans to the Port's Board of Commissioners. In her presentation, President Morse described Western's proposal for the creation of a non-profit, development entity. The development entity, also known as an "intermediary authority," would join with other public agency partners to acquire land and solicit developers to help in the construction of campus facilities.
