Topic: To Discuss WWU's Presence on the Bellingham Waterfront

2006 Forums

The committee scheduled 2 forums in February 2006. A campuswide open forum was held Friday, Feb. 10, to share information and ask for input from the campus and community on emerging concepts for Western’s participation in the proposed waterfront development. A second forum, held Thursday, Feb. 23, focused on how a waterfront campus might take shape.

A third forum was held Tuesday, April 11 at 4:00 in Communications (CF) Room 105. Consultant Doug Graham presented the WWU Waterfront Development Committee's preliminary plans for the university's development on Bellingham's waterfront that have been developed over a two year period with participation from the campus community. Attendees asked questions and provided feedback.

2005 Forums

Two forums, held May 11 and 25, 2005, provided opportunities to the campus and community to review the proposals. In addition, a well-attended student-led forum was held May 4, 2005.
