Provost Search : Home

At the request of the president-designate, Dr. Bruce Shepard, I am initiating the search for a Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs at Western Washington University to assume duties in January 2009.  Representatives of various campus constituencies are serving on the search advisory committee. This is a very important endeavor and the committee members will provide the guidance and efforts essential for a successful search.  Nominations and applications will be reviewed beginning September  5, 2008.   Liz Sipes, secretary to the Board of Trustees, will provide staff support for the search. I look forward to facilitating the initial search process and will be in regular communication with Dr. Shepard until he assumes his official duties starting September 1, 2008.
