Electronic Files
Print & Copy Services offers digital printing in full color or black ink. When creating files on the computer, the completed file can be sent directly to the printing output device without creating an intermediate hard copy.

Copy Services prefers to print from PDF files. Microsoft Office files from Word and Publisher can be printed directly as well as JPEG or TIFF files.

Creating a PDF file insures what you are seeing on your computer screen will match what is printed. The job can be proofed with the PDF before sending for printing. Fonts and images will be embedded in the file and do not have to be sent separately.

To create a PDF file:

  • Install Adobe Acrobat 8.0 (Pro for forms and Autocad, Standard for just PDF files.)
  • Create and save Acrobat Distiller job options settings for Copy Services.
  • Create a PDF file using the Acrobat Distiller print driver and selecting the Copy Services job options.
  • Proof the PDF file.
  • Place the completed PDF in the PGWC_Public folder on the P: drive.
