"Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social
well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." World Health Organization
"To facilitate individual and community health and well being. To nurture students' self-care and social responsibility so that they may maximize their academic and personal success and engage in the creation of a safe and healthy community."
Our dedicated staff is here to support you in your personal efforts to improve and maintain your health.
Being a healthy college student means having the confidence and energy to live each day to its fullest. In part, good health is up to the individual - how you make choices and care for yourself - but good health is neither achieved nor compromised in isolation. We maintain a policy of positive messaging; inclusive services, programs, and materials; and the practice of empowering individuals to make constructive, health enhancing choices in their lives.
Our hope is for students who interact with the educational resources of Prevention & Wellness Services to become actively involved in their own wellness; recognize the impact health has on personal and academic success, as well as on the community; and co-create a safe, socially just campus for all identities.
We invite you to explore our website and learn about the resources and services we offer.
