Elva is Director of Prevention and Wellness Services. She oversees the programming and services we provide and is also a resource for information about most alcohol and other drug questions. If she doesn't know the answer, she'll find it for you.
Michelle Langstraat, MA, LMHC
Violence Prevention Specialist and CASAS Coordinator

As CASAS coordinator, Michelle assists students who have experienced sexual and/or dating violence and provides emotional support and advocacy. Michelle supervises WEAVE (Western's Empowerment and Violence Education) and offers educational presentations about violence prevention to students and staff.
Jon Dukes, MSW
Men's Violence Prevention and Mental Health Promotion Specialist

As a CASAS staff member, Jon assists students who have experienced sexual and/or dating violence and provides emotional support and advocacy. Jon supervises WEAVE (Western's Empowerment and Violence Education) and THRIVE, and offers educational presentations about violence prevention to students and staff.
Amelia Cave, MBA, CHES
Health Promotion and Communication Specialist

Amelia assists PWS staff in the promotion of their educational programs, outreach efforts, and direct services, while supporting the web and print communication needs of PWS through graphic and web development and design. Amelia also supervises the THRIVE Peer Health Educator group.
Scott Martinez, BS, CDP
Risk Reduction Specialist

Scott is a WA State Certified Chemical Dependency Professional and assists students in making informed choices about alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use via ADCAS classes and individual consultations. He also coordinates the Alcohol and Other Drug Risk Reduction Team.
Tracy Dahlstedt-Rienstra, MEd

Tracy coordinates the Peer Sexual Health Educator groups; the activities of which include outreach and promotion and one on one information sessions.
Janae Brewster, MEd

Janae coordinates the Body Empowerment Peer Health Educator group in addition to providing administrative support to our busy office, fielding general information calls, making ADCAS appointments, and referring students to our program staff.
