PIN FAQ
Your default PIN is your birthdate in the following format: ddmmmyyyy (e.g., 15jan1991). Note: Birth month abbreviation is to be entered with the first 3 letters in your birth month using only lowercase letters (e.g., jan, feb, mar).
If you don't have a birthdate in our system, your default PIN will be the first 2 characters of your last name (in lowercase) immediately followed by the first six digits of your Social Security number.
If your account was created prior to September 8, 2010, your default PIN is the first 6 digits of your Social Security Number.
You are encouraged to change your PIN to a customized code for added security.
To change your PIN via Web4U, select 'Personal Information' from the main menu, then 'Change PIN'.
If you ever forget your PIN, you can reset it yourself. After logging into Web4U you will be asked to enter your personal security questions, along with the answers. This will enable you to reset your PIN without calling for assistance. To help you remember your answers, keep it short, limit spaces and do not use special characters. Your answers are limited to 30 characters.
Go to Web4U, enter your User ID (Western number) and click on the "Forgot PIN?" button. You will be asked one of your security questions, which you had previously entered. A successful answer will enable you to reset your PIN and gain access to your information.
After five (5) consecutive logon failures, Web4U disables your PIN to protect your data. You must then have your PIN reset by contacting ATUS Help Desk at (360)650-3333.
After ten (10) minutes of inactivity the Web for Students system automatically logs you off. This is to prevent others from accessing your account.
