Ally Training

In order to be recognized as a Queer Safe Zone ally at Western Washington University, you must participate in a three-hour workshop to build on your knowledge and awareness of issues within the queer community; reflect on your own personal assumptions, biases and beliefs; and gain tools in how to create a safe space for members of the queer community and for other allies.

To WWU Staff: By registering for a Safe Zone training session, you are indicating that you have discussed with your supervisor the time commitments and responsibilities associated with becoming a Queer Safe Zone ally and have secured their approval to serve in this capacity.
