Call for abstracts: Late-breaking posters

The Conference Program Committee invites late breaking submissions of poster abstracts for consideration for the 2016 Salish Sea Ecosystem Conference. The conference program will cover a wide range of subjects that address topics pertaining to traditional knowledge, western science, policy and management of the Salish Sea ecosystem. Sessions to which poster abstracts may now be submitted. We are encouraging those submitting abstracts to capture elements related to this year’s theme of Strengthening Connections in Changing Times.
Presenters should select the specific session within the designated track to which they would like to submit a poster abstract. Session descriptions are available online at Salish Sea 2016 Session Descriptions.
Please make your poster submission through the online Abstract Submission Site by March 31, 2016. An abstract of no more than 200 words can be submitted. Presentation Guidelines are available by clicking here.
All presenters are required to register for the conference (minimum of one-day registration) and cover all travel and accommodation expenses.
The conference organizers will produce web-based proceedings of the conference. Individual presenters will be required to submit proceedings, and have the option of submitting an extended abstract, PDF of PowerPoint presentation or full manuscript of their oral or poster presentation. Session conveners must also submit an edited report or summary of the session and its outcomes.
The deadline for all proceedings submissions is June 1, 2016. Presenters, however, are encouraged to submit their proceedings before then.
