Communication
In keeping with our mission "to teach communication that nurtures inclusive, civil discourse and cooperative decision making," faculty members work closely with students who want to conduct research or participate in creative endeavors. Our students have recently enjoyed success at presenting their papers at the National Communication Association conference and several regional conferences. Student research topics have included service-learning in the communication classroom, intercultural communication instruction and educational institutions, biracial identity development, and small group processes. The Communication Department will hold an Undergraduate Research Symposium during Scholars Week.
