2018 Scholars Week Keynote Speaker

The Scholars Week Organizing Committee is extremely pleased to announce that Dr. David Figlio will be the Keynote Speaker for the 2018 WWU Scholars Week (May 14th-18th).

"How Early Life Conditions Affect People's Life Chances"

Event is free and open to the public.

David Figlio is the Orrington Lunt Professor and Dean of the School of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University. His research on education, health, and social welfare policies have been published in leading economics, medicine, and science journals, and he has advised numerous state and national governments regarding policy design and implementation. An award-winning classroom teacher, Figlio is also currently the editor of the Journal of Human Resources.
