Brad Snowder is a graduate of WWU with a bachelor of science degree
in Physics with minors in astronomy and math,
and with a master's degree in
Science Education.
He holds the Astronomical League's
certificates for the
Herschel 400 (cert. #89)
and the
Messier (cert. #737)
deep sky observing programs.
Brad is an astronomy instructor at
WWU and
Whatcom Community College.
In the past he has also taught astronomy courses for
Skagit Valley College and for
Northwest Indian College.
Being part Choctaw Indian, Brad has long had a special interest
in preserving
American Indian and other cultural starlore.

Brad has managed Western's planetarium since 1995. He currently designs and maintains
these webpages as well as many other websites. Some of Brad's work can be seen displayed in our
art gallery.
