The legend of Orion as told by an owl named Aesop and his helper, a mouse named Socrates.

Orion falls in love with the King's beautiful daughter Merope but he is also the target of affection of a bow-wielding huntress named Artemis, much to the frustration of her disapproving brother. Before the end Orion must battle against a deadly foe, Scorpius.
